WaveX Scented Water bottles

WaveX – Falling in Love with Water, One Scent at a Time

We recently had the pleasure of teaming up with the innovative startup WaveX, a brand on a mission to make drinking water fun again—yes, really! Their clever twist? Scented pods that trick your senses into thinking you’re sipping something fruity and delicious, all while you’re just drinking good old H₂O. With a tagline like "WaveX – Fall in love with drinking water", we knew we were in for a refreshing ride.

Drinking water made fun!

Our team at Outer Lane Studio took on a full hybrid production, delivering both photo and video content. We weren’t just behind the camera; we were in the thick of the creative process from day one. We worked closely with the client to refine the concept, rewriting and reworking the original ideas into a stronger, more cohesive narrative. We developed storyboards, sourced talent, scouted all the shoot locations, and handled everything from production planning to final delivery—all within a tight two-week timeline. Basically, if it needed doing, we were on it.

The perfect workout companion

To bring the WaveX vibe to life, we chose a mix of studio and outdoor locations across Shanghai, each one carefully sourced by our team. From sunny park scenes to slick studio setups, we created vibrant environments that showcased how WaveX fits into everyday life—whether you’re on the move, hitting the gym, or just relaxing at home.

Highlighting the various scented pods

Capturing the product’s unique features, especially the scented pods was a fun creative challenge. We found playful, eye-catching ways to bring them into the spotlight across both stills and motion.

This project was more than just a shoot, it was about translating an experience into visuals that connect. For brands—whether local to China or stepping into the market from abroad—Outer Lane Studio is here to help you tell your story with style, heart, and cinematic flair.

If you're ready to make a splash in China, let's create something unforgettable.
