Nestled in the artsy maze of Tianzifang, one of Shanghai’s most vibrant cultural districts, Alors is a French-Asian fusion restaurant that blends bold flavors, creative energy, and a flair for unforgettable experiences. We had the pleasure of working with Alors to capture their unique vibe through professional photography and videography — and it’s been one deliciously fun ride.

Founded by Taiwanese-born, American-educated owners, Alors is a fresh take on modern dining in China. The menu reimagines classic Chinese dishes with French technique and presentation. Whether it’s a Sichuan-inspired duck confit or a soy-braised beef tartare, the plates here are as visually striking as they are flavorful.

At the helm of the kitchen is rising local chef Bingjia Lou, whose creativity and attention to detail make every dish feel like a personal statement. Regular guest chef events, DJ nights, and private parties turn Alors into more than just a restaurant — it’s a lively hub of food, music, and culture.

As photographers and videographers based in Shanghai, our job was to help Alors shine across multiple platforms. We created event photography, short-form videos for TikTok (Douyin) and Instagram, and polished menu photos for listings on Dianping and Xiaohongshu. The goal: build a strong visual brand that speaks to both local and international audiences.
